ChaeYoon Timm Moon
Program Manager

Timm Moon comes from a professional background involved in education ranging from afterschool K-12 academic and college preparation, community building with local school districts, and higher education administration and program management. Along with cultural sensitivity rooted in experience with socio-linguistic pedagogy in multicultural contexts, he believes that enabling support by connecting at the local level with newcomer groups is the most effective method in overcoming the additional layers of adversity these communities so often face.

Through better understanding of each of our words, actions, and perspectives, Timm hopes to establish collective growth and empowerment at individual, community, and systemic levels for the disparate and overlooked, yet wise and resilient parts of our society. By promoting and informing progress in formal education, facilitating intercultural dialogue and mutual learning experiences, as well as advocating structural change for and by our direct community members, he strives to construct a foundation of communal strength that UVNR and its representative communities will continue to build on into the future.
